In the past K-Pop diva CL has experimented with the boldest and brashest fashions imaginable, and with her latest project she seized the opportunity to play it cool. Teasing images from the set of a new video on Instagram today, the star showed off a loose-fitting Givenchytracksuit straight from the label’s Resort 2017 collection. Worn with towering high-heeled boots, retro sunglasses, and a sleek high ponytail, the full look evokes 90s hip hop chic as seen through the lens of Riccardo Tisci.
Though CL has always taken fashion cues from rap’s legacy, the relatively understated vibe of the Givenchy look feels fresh. The full video may well feature several other outfits—judging from the posted footage there’s at least one scene involving an eye-catching glossy bomber jacket—but the effortless cool of that all black tracksuit will be hard to beat.
